Job summary

Danaher & Walsh in Lincolnshire is seeking a Site Manager to lead operational teams and subcontractors on Water Recycling maintenance and related works. You will drive productivity, safety culture, and ensure cost control while meeting quality standards.

The role requires civil engineering qualifications, a valid CSCS card and SMSTS, with proven site leadership and collaborative mindset. The company offers competitive salary, pension, and flexible working.

Qualifications

• Civil/construction qualification required.
• CSCS card appropriate to role.
• SMSTS certification preferred.
• Experience managing civil or water projects.
• Water Recycling knowledge is a plus.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise operational teams and subcontractors delivering Water Recycling maintenance activities and small works.
• Drive site productivity, workmanship and safety culture, coordinating resources and monitoring performance against time, cost and quality targets.
• Coordinate site activities including plant, materials, traffic management and subcontract work, keeping close control of costs and hired-in resources.
• Ensure the optimum method of construction is used and meets all required standards.
• Support delivery of local budgets and business priorities, highlighting risk and variance to finance plans.
• Lead by example on Health, Safety and Quality standards across all sites.
• Ensure full compliance with H&S, CDM regulations, RAMS and near-miss reporting, supporting a zero-accident culture.
• Promote wellbeing and continuous improvement in H&S practices across all sites.

Based in Mountsorrel, Leicestershire, our team of 100+ people works across public realm, pipeline rehabilitation, highways and bridgeworks. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise operational teams and subcontractors delivering Water Recycling maintenance activities and small works, in line with performance standards and SHEQ requirements
• Drive site productivity, workmanship and safety culture, coordinating resources and monitoring performance against time, cost and quality targets
• Coordinate site activities including plant, materials, traffic management and subcontract work, keeping close control of costs and hired-in resources
• Ensure the optimum method of construction is used and meets all required standards
• Support delivery of local budgets and business priorities, highlighting risk and variance to finance plans
• Lead by example on Health, Safety and Quality standards across all sites

About you

• Relevant civil engineering/construction qualification (e.g. HNC, HND or degree)
• Valid CSCS card appropriate to role (Manager/Black or Gold card)
• SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
• Proven experience managing civil engineering, utilities or water industry sites
• Experience within a water/wastewater or Water Recycling environment is an advantage
• Strong health & safety leadership and risk management
• Excellent stakeholder and subcontractor management skills
• Clear, confident communicator, written and verbal
• A collaborative, "one team" mindset - resilient and adaptable under pressure
