Shorefields is seeking a dedicated Site Manager to maintain safety and cleanliness in our school environment. This full-time position involves health and safety compliance, team management, and providing support to our staff and families. Due to the retirement of our current Site Manager, we are seeking a Site Manager who is highly motivated and extremely practical to work alongside our dedicated staff, supporting children and their families by keeping our premises clean and safe.
This post is 37 hours per week (Monday - Thursday 7.15am to 3pm and Friday 7am to 3.30pm), 52 weeks per year. The hours may be variable to suit the needs of the job and some evening work may be required
This would be a perfect job for a practical, enthusiastic and conscientious person.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
· To be responsible for carrying out Health and Safety checks including: fire, emergency lighting, legionella and keeping accurate up to date records
· Arrange and supervise contractors on site during working hours
· Work in a flexible manner for the needs of the children and the school
· Liaise and manage a programme of general DIY repairs including planned and preventative maintenance and redecoration
· Take pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the school site including monitoring and managing the cleaning team
· Monitoring stocks and ordering supplies
· Supporting the school's Improvement Plan priorities
· Liaising with the Finance Manager and Senior Leadership Team
The chosen candidate will be personable, demonstrate excellent communication skills, confident, professional and take pride in all aspects of their work. We are looking to recruit someone with energy and enthusiasm who will be able to lead and work as an integral part of a busy and hardworking team.
