Matchtech Group has a client seeking a Site Manager to support Yorkshire Water AMP8 wastewater infrastructure projects across the Yorkshire region. The role involves managing site operations on pipelines, sewer networks, diversions and mains, on a contract basis and within roughly an hour of York including Leeds, Sheffield, Hull or North/East Yorkshire.

Our client is seeking a Site Manager to support Yorkshire Water AMP8 wastewater infrastructure projects across the Yorkshire region. The role will involve managing site operations on projects including pipelines, sewer networks, combined sewer overflows, diversions and mains. The position is offered on a contract basis and will suit a civil engineering professional based within approximately one hour of York, including Leeds, Sheffield, Hull, North Yorkshire or East Yorkshire.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing day-to-day site activities across wastewater and civil engineering projects
• Supervising subcontractors, site teams and delivery partners to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently
• Coordinating construction activities for pipelines, sewer networks, diversions, mains and associated infrastructure
• Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with approved designs, programmes and project specifications
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance
• Monitoring progress, identifying potential issues and implementing effective solutions
• Working closely with project managers, engineers, clients and other stakeholders
• Maintaining accurate site records, reports and construction documentation

Job Requirements:

• Experience as a Site Manager within civil engineering, utilities or the water sector
• Strong knowledge of wastewater infrastructure, sewer networks, pipelines or related civil engineering works
• Understanding of construction health and safety requirements and environmental standards
• Ability to manage site teams, subcontractors and multiple work activities effectively
• Good understanding of construction programmes, drawings, specifications and quality requirements
• Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills
• Relevant site management qualifications, such as SMSTS, supported by appropriate water or civil engineering experience
• Ability to travel to project sites across Yorkshire and the surrounding areas
