Job summary

Fawkes and Reece is recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to lead a landmark £70m warehouse development near Tilbury Docks, Essex. You will oversee day-to-day site operations, coordinate subcontractors and ensure delivery to programme, quality and safety standards.

Working closely with the Project Manager and wider team, you will drive site performance, manage logistics and report on progress, supporting a high-profile industrial build with a leading contractor.

Qualifications

• Proven track record as Site Manager on warehouse, industrial, or large-scale commercial projects.
• Strong knowledge of steel frame construction and warehouse builds.
• SMSTS, CSCS Card, and First Aid qualifications are required.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and multiple trades.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day site operations and coordinate subcontractors.
• Ensure works progress in line with programme and milestones.
• Maintain high health, safety and quality standards across site.
• Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks and progress meetings.
• Manage site logistics and workforce planning.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and project team throughout construction.
• Review RAMS and ensure compliance with procedures.
• Monitor progress and report on project performance.

As Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a £70m warehouse development in Essex. Working closely with the Project Manager and wider site team, you will ensure the project is delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities for Site Manager

• Managing daily site operations and coordinating subcontractors
• Ensuring works are delivered in line with programme and project milestones
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and quality across the site
• Conducting site inspections, toolbox talks, and progress meetings
• Managing site logistics and workforce planning
• Liaising with clients, consultants, and the project team throughout construction
• Reviewing RAMS and ensuring compliance with company procedures
• Monitoring progress and reporting on project performance

Requirements for Site Manager

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on warehouse, industrial, logistics, or large-scale commercial projects
• Strong knowledge of steel frame and warehouse construction
• SMSTS, CSCS Card, and First Aid qualification required
• Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple trades
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to manage programmes and deliver projects safely and efficiently
