Site Manager Wreake Valley AcademyPermanent37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year Grade 11, Pts 27 to 30 (£41,259 to £44,109)Start Date: ASAPApplication Close Date: 9.00am, Monday 28th September 2026Provisional Interview Date: Wk commencing 5th October 2026An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Bradgate Education Partnership as a Site Manager at Wreake Valley Academy on a full time permanent basis. As the Academy Site Manager you will be responsible for playing a central role in ensuring the school operates safely, efficiently, and to a consistently high standard each day. This is a varied and hands-on leadership role where you will take responsibility for the management of the school site, including maintenance, security, cleaning and ongoing development of the buildings and grounds.You will lead and support the premises team, oversee contractors and site projects, and ensure full compliance with health and safety and statutory requirements, helping to create a secure, well-maintained environment where students and staff can focus on learning.Working closely with the Headteacher, Trust Estates team and wider colleagues, you will contribute directly to the smooth day-to-day running of the school while also supporting longer-term improvements to the site. The role offers a strong degree of autonomy alongside the support of a collaborative Trust network, with opportunities to shape site standards, influence investment in facilities and drive continuous improvement. If you enjoy problem-solving, leading teams and taking pride in creating high-quality environments, this is a role where your work will have a visible and lasting impact across the whole school community.Working Hours: Working hours will be agreed with the Headteacher; however, the normal working pattern is expected to be 08:00 to 16:00.Please note that Wreake Valley Academy operates a two-shift system: 06:00 to 14:00 and 14:00 to 22:00, the successful candidate will be expected to provide cover for either shift when required to meet operational needs. Applicants should therefore be willing and able to work both shift patterns.The successful candidate must be flexible in their approach to working hours, with the ability to adjust their schedule at short notice to meet operational requirements. There will be a requirement for occasional ad hoc weekend working to provide operational cover during periods of premises staff absence and to support the management of weekend lettings and site activities.The successful candidate will also have strong practical knowledge and proven experience in building maintenance and the safe use of power tools.   • Have experience of working within a secondary school setting and experience with craft skills e.g. plumber, electrician.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety issues including legislation and COSHH.
  • Ability to liaise with external contractors including negotiating prices for small jobs.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills and ability to prioritise workload.
