Job summary

Glanua is seeking a Site Manager for our wastewater treatment projects in the UK. You will lead mobilisations, coordinate construction activities, supervise daily site operations, and maintain safety and quality across worksites.

Key responsibilities include RAMS preparation, liaising with clients and supply chains, ensuring timely procurement of plant and materials, and controlling costs while forecasting labour needs.

Qualifications

• HND in engineering/project management qualification.
• Experience in water treatment industry (non-infrastructure) large-scale projects.
• IOSH or SMSTS Safety Management certification.
• CSCS Management Card.
• First Aid training.

Responsibilities

• Mobilise and demobilise worksite as required.
• Coordinate construction activities to meet schedule and budget.
• Manage day-to-day site operations, supervise, brief, and prepare RAMS.
• Serve as key onsite contact for stakeholders, clients, and suppliers.
• Ensure timely ordering of plant and materials.
• Check drawings and quantities for accuracy.
• Promote safety and quality standards; plan, organise, monitor activities.
• Report and resolve any site non-conformities.
• Manage costs and monitor budget controls.
• Forecast supervision and direct labour across worksites.
• Own accountability for worksites.

• Co-ordinate and control construction activities ensuring the project runs to schedule and budget.
• Day to day management of site activities, including supervising and monitoring the site operations and carrying out briefings as necessary, preparing RAMS and ensuring compliance.
• Key onsite contact for all Project stakeholders, clients, supply chain partner and visiting parties.
• Ensuring plant and materials are ordered and supplied as required in a timely manner.
• Checking drawings and quantities, ensuring that the information is accurate for the work.
• Always promote exceptional safety and delivery quality standards. Ensuring that activities are planned, organised and monitored to ensure safety, time constraints and quality requirements are met.
• Ensuring that all site non-conformities are reported and resolved.
• Ensure all cost aspects are managed proactively and controls are in place.
• Forecasting and management of supervision and direct labour across worksites.
• Overall ownership and accountabilities for their worksites.
