Job summary

Glanua is seeking a Site Manager for wastewater treatment projects in the UK. You will lead mobilisation, coordinate site activities and supervise operations to ensure safety, schedule and budget adherence.

Key responsibilities include managing staff, liaising with clients and supply chain partners, and ensuring accurate drawings and BOMs. A strong safety culture and cost awareness are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • HND in engineering/project management related qualification.
  • Experience within the water treatment industry (Non-Infrastructure) large scale projects.
  • IOSH or SMSTS Safety Management.
  • CSCS Management Card.
  • First Aid training or certification.

Responsibilities

  • Mobilisation and demobilisation of the worksites.
  • Coordinate and control construction activities to meet schedule and budget.
  • Manage day-to-day site operations, supervise and brief teams, prepare RAMS and ensure compliance.
  • Act as main on-site contact for Project stakeholders, clients, supply chain partners and visitors.
  • Ensure plant and materials are ordered and supplied timely.
  • Check drawings and quantities to ensure accuracy for works.
  • Promote high safety and delivery quality standards.
  • Plan, organise and monitor activities to meet safety, time, and quality requirements.
  • Report and resolve all site non-conformities.
  • Proactively manage costs and implement cost controls.
  • Forecast and manage supervision and direct labour across sites.
  • Own and be accountable for the worksites.

Site Manager - (Wastewater Treatment Projects)
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for mobilisation and demobilisation of our worksite/s.
  • Co-ordinate and control construction activities ensuring the project runs to schedule and budget.
  • Day to day management of site activities, including supervising and monitoring the site operations and carrying out briefings as necessary, preparing RAMS and ensuring compliance.
  • Key onsite contact for all Project stakeholders, clients, supply chain partner and visiting parties.
  • Ensuring plant and materials are ordered and supplied as required in a timely manner.
  • Checking drawings and quantities, ensuring that the information is accurate for the work.
  • Always promote exceptional safety and delivery quality standards.
  • Ensuring that activities are planned, organised and monitored to ensure safety, time constraints and quality requirements are met.
  • Ensuring that all site non-conformities are reported and resolved.
  • Ensure all cost aspects are managed proactively and controls are in place.
  • Forecasting and management of supervision and direct labour across worksites.
  • Overall ownership and accountabilities for their worksites.
