Job summary

Build Recruitment Limited is seeking a Site Manager with a strong trades background to lead social housing refurbishment projects in Merseyside, starting with a Kitchen & Bathroom scheme. You will manage delivery teams, coordinate subcontractors, and maintain safety and resident liaison.

The role offers a salary up to £47,000, a company van and fuel card, 34 days leave, a discretionary bonus around £5,000, and a pension. Early Friday finish at 3:30pm is also available.

Qualifications

• Experience in social housing refurbishment schemes, including kitchens and bathrooms.
• Background as a qualified tradesperson before moving into site management.
• Certifications CSCS Black Card, SMSTS and First Aid.

Job Title: Site Manager – Social Housing Refurbishment
Location: Merseyside (Initial Project: Kitchen & Bathroom Scheme)

Salary: Up to £47,000 per annum Company Van & Fuel Card
Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:00am – 4:30pm, Friday 8:00am – 3:30pmAre you an experienced Site Manager with a strong trades background and a proven track record in social housing refurbishments? Over time, you will oversee a diverse portfolio of works, including external renewals and high-profile, government-funded retrofit energy-efficiency schemes. Key Responsibilities

• Project Delivery: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Merseyside K&B scheme, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
• Programme Management: Manage site schedules for kitchen/bathroom replacements, external renewals, and future government-funded retrofit upgrades.
• Subcontractor & Trade Management: Lead, motivate, and manage direct trades and subcontractors on-site, ensuring clear direction and high productivity.
• Health & Safety: Maintain strict health, safety, and environmental standards on-site, conducting inductions, tool-box talks, and risk assessments.
• Tenant Liaison: Work closely with resident liaison teams to ensure works are carried out with minimal disruption to residents.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Deep background in social housing refurbishment schemes, specifically managing internal (Kitchens & Bathrooms) and external renewals.
• Retrofit Knowledge: Experience or involvement with recent government-funded retrofit / energy-efficiency replacement schemes is highly desirable.
• Certifications: Must hold a CSCS Black Card (NVQ Level 6 or equivalent), SMSTS, and a valid First Aid certificate.Background: A strong foundation as a qualified tradesperson prior to moving into site management.
• Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence to utilize the company vehicle.
