Job summary

Anderselite is seeking a Site Manager for a major water/utilities infrastructure project in Peterborough. You will lead the site team, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure safe delivery on time and within budget.

Reporting to the Programme Manager, you will drive HSQE compliance, cost reporting, procurement, and risk governance while maintaining stakeholder relationships across the project.

Qualifications

• Experience managing large-scale construction projects (£20m+).
• Proven delivery of complex site operations on time, cost and quality targets.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, environmental and quality standards on live sites.
• Experience managing subcontractors and supply chain partners to meet programme objectives.
• Commercial awareness with budgets, cost reporting and procurement systems.
• Familiarity with project assurance, governance, change control and risk mitigation.
• Ability to lead, engage and develop site teams and maintain stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

Morson Edge are working with a well known consultancy who are seeking a Site Manager to join their Water/Utilities division.

Role - Site Manager

Location - Peterborough

Salary - £50k to £65k + Bens

You will report directly to the Programme Manager/Senior Project Manager and your role will cover leading and directing the site team to coordinate the safe management of all operational activities on all projects ensuring HSQE, programme and budget requirements are met.

As a Site Manager, you will lead site-based delivery activities on complex infrastructure projects, ensuring construction works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Working closely with the Construction Manager, you will coordinate subcontractors, manage resources, and oversee day-to-day operations to meet project milestones.

You will bring:

• Demonstrable experience managing large-scale construction projects with a value of £20 million or more, preferably within the infrastructure or regulated utility sectors.
• A proven track record of successfully delivering complex site operations in line with time, cost and quality targets.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, environmental and quality standards in a live site environment.
• Experience managing subcontractors and supply chain partners to meet programme objectives.
• Commercial awareness and confidence in managing site budgets, cost reporting, and procurement systems.
• Familiarity with project assurance and governance processes, including change control and risk mitigation.
• The ability to lead, engage, and develop site teams, while maintaining excellent stakeholder relationships
