Job summary

Ganymede Solutions Ltd. is seeking a Site Manager for an eight-month contract to deliver a new extension at an operational food factory. You will own day-to-day site delivery from mobilisation through construction, commissioning and handover, within a live manufacturing environment.

The role requires strong experience managing live site interfaces, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring hygiene, safety and quality standards are maintained throughout the project.

Qualifications

• SMSTS certification or equivalent.
• CSCS card appropriate to the role.
• First Aid at Work.
• Construction management qualification or trade background preferred.
• Temporary Works Coordinator, lifting, fire marshal or similar site qualifications advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day site delivery from mobilisation through construction, commissioning and handover.
• Coordinate subcontractors, labour, plant, materials, logistics and temporary works against programme.
• Manage works within and adjacent to a live facility while protecting production, personnel and product integrity.
• Maintain rigorous health, safety and environmental standards through inductions, briefings, RAMS reviews, permits and inspections.
• Act as the key site contact for the client, design team, project manager, commercial team and factory stakeholders.
• Monitor progress, identify risks early and implement practical recovery plans where required.
• Oversee quality inspections, records, snagging and close-out to achieve a right-first-time handover.
• Coordinate building, structural, mechanical, electrical and process-work interfaces.
• Control access, deliveries, segregation, housekeeping and welfare in a hygiene-critical environment.
• Lead site meetings and provide clear updates on safety, quality, programme and resources.

Lead a High-Profile Live‑Site Extension

We are recruiting an experienced Site Manager for an eight-month contract delivering a new extension to an operational food factory. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a technically demanding project where construction, food‑production continuity, safety and hygiene must work seamlessly together.

Take Control of Delivery

• Lead day‑to‑day site delivery from mobilisation through construction, commissioning and handover.
• Coordinate subcontractors, labour, plant, materials, logistics and temporary works against the agreed programme.
• Manage works within and adjacent to a live facility while protecting production, personnel and product integrity.
• Maintain rigorous health, safety and environmental standards through inductions, briefings, RAMS reviews, permits and inspections.
• Act as the key site contact for the client, design team, project manager, commercial team and factory stakeholders.
• Monitor progress, identify risks early and implement practical recovery plans where required.

Make an Immediate Impact

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on industrial or manufacturing projects.
• Experience in a live operational setting; food, beverage, dairy, pharmaceutical or another hygiene‑controlled environment is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, subcontractor management, site logistics and programme control.
• A sound working knowledge of health and safety legislation, quality assurance and environmental requirements.
• The confidence to manage multiple interfaces and communicate effectively with clients, factory teams and site operatives.
• A decisive, organised and solutions‑focused approach, supported by strong commercial awareness and accurate record keeping.

Essential Credentials

• SMSTS.

• A relevant construction management qualification or trade background is preferred.
• Temporary Works Coordinator, lifting, fire marshal or similar site qualifications would be advantageous.
