Job summary

CPR Recruitment is seeking an experienced Site Manager / Small Works Manager to deliver M&E and building services projects across the South Oxfordshire region and beyond. You will manage day-to-day site operations, coordinate subcontractors, ensure safety, programme delivery and quality across Defence, Healthcare, Education, Commercial and Public Sector schemes.

The role requires 3–5 years in M&E/Building Services, SMSTS and Asbestos Awareness, a full UK driving licence and willingness

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' experience as a Site Manager within M&E or Building Services.
• Experience delivering projects in Defence, Healthcare, Education or Public Sector.
• SMSTS and Asbestos Awareness are essential.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, labour, plant and materials
• Manage site Health & Safety, RAMS, permits, inductions and toolbox talks
• Monitor project programmes, progress, quality, snagging and defects
• Oversee mechanical and electrical installations including HVAC, heating, ventilation and pipework
• Liaise with Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, clients and other project stakeholders

Site Manager / Small Works Manager - M&E Projects

Location: South Oxfordshire / Projects Across the South

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 + Company Vehicle/Allowance

THE OPPORTUNITY

CPXR is recruiting for an experienced Site Manager / Small Works Manager to join a growing M&E and Building Services contractor based in South Oxfordshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Manager with experience across M&E, Building Services or multi-disciplinary construction projects who is looking to join an expanding business delivering projects across Defence, Healthcare, Education, Commercial and Public Sector environments.

The role will involve taking responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of projects, managing subcontractors and site teams while ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.

THE ROLE

• Manage the day-to-day delivery of M&E and construction projects


• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, labour, plant and materials


• Manage site Health & Safety, RAMS, permits, inductions and toolbox talks


• Monitor project programmes, progress, quality, snagging and defects


• Oversee mechanical and electrical installations including HVAC, heating, ventilation and pipework


• Liaise with Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, clients and other project stakeholders

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• 3-5 years' experience as a Site Manager within M&E, Building Services or Construction


• Experience delivering projects within Healthcare, Defence, Education, Commercial or Public Sector environments


• Good technical understanding of mechanical and electrical installations and Building Services


• Experience managing subcontractors and projects within live or operational environments


• SMSTS and Asbestos Awareness are essential


• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites

A mechanical or Building Services background would be advantageous, alongside CSCS Manager Card, First Aid and Fire Marshal qualifications.

Candidates will also need to be able to obtain the appropriate SC or DBS clearance where required for individual projects.
