Job summary

Ganymede Solutions Limited seeks a Site Manager to deliver a 10-month factory expansion and fit-out in a live manufacturing environment. You will head day-to-day site activities, coordinate subcontractors and logistics, and ensure production continuity and hygiene standards.

You will manage interfaces across construction disciplines, perform RAMS reviews, and drive right-first-time handover with strong safety, quality, and programme control awareness.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Site Manager on industrial or manufacturing projects.
• Experience in a live operational setting; food, beverage, dairy, pharmaceutical or similar hygiene-controlled environment is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, subcontractor management, site logistics and programme control.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation, quality assurance and environmental requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple interfaces and communicate with clients, factory teams and site operatives.
• Decisive, organized and solutions-focused with commercial awareness and record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day site delivery from mobilisation through construction, commissioning and handover.
• Coordinate subcontractors, labour, plant, materials, logistics and temporary works against the programme.
• Manage works within a live facility while protecting production, personnel and product integrity.
• Maintain health, safety and environmental standards through inductions, RAMS, permits and inspections.
• Act as the key site contact for the client, design team, project manager, commercial team and factory stakeholders.
• Monitor progress, identify risks early and implement recovery plans.
• Oversee quality inspections, records, snagging and close-out for right-first-time handover.
• Coordinate building, structural, mechanical, electrical and process-work interfaces.
• Control access, deliveries, segregation, housekeeping and welfare in a hygiene-critical environment.
• Lead site meetings and provide updates on safety, quality, programme and resources.

Lead a high profile factory expansion and fit out project

We are recruiting an experienced Site Manager for a 10 month contract delivering a factory expansion and fit out project to an operational food factory. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a technically demanding project where construction, food production continuity, safety and hygiene must work seamlessly together.

Take Control of Delivery

• Lead day-to-day site delivery from mobilisation through construction, commissioning and handover.
• Coordinate subcontractors, labour, plant, materials, logistics and temporary works against the agreed programme.
• Manage works within and adjacent to a live facility while protecting production, personnel and product integrity.
• Maintain rigorous health, safety and environmental standards through inductions, briefings, RAMS reviews, permits and inspections.
• Act as the key site contact for the client, design team, project manager, commercial team and factory stakeholders.
• Monitor progress, identify risks early and implement practical recovery plans where required.
• Oversee quality inspections, records, snagging and close-out to achieve a right-first-time handover.

Essential Credentials

• SMSTS.
• CSCS card appropriate to the role.
• First Aid at Work.
• A relevant construction management qualification or trade background is preferred.
• Temporary Works Coordinator, lifting, fire marshal or similar site qualifications would be advantageous.
