Job summary

Recruit 4 Construction is recruiting a Site Manager from a Civil Engineering subcontractor background to drive delivery on a fast-paced HV infrastructure project in Newark.

This role requires someone who understands the detail, takes ownership on site and can keep specialist civil engineering and cable installation works moving safely and to programme. You will coordinate site teams, subcontractors, plant and materials to maintain progress and safety.

Qualifications

• National Grid Competent Person and Document Holder is required.
• SMSTS certification is essential for site leadership.
• First Aid qualification is mandatory for safety on site.
• EUSR Power accreditation is required for HV works.

Responsibilities

• Take day-to-day responsibility for management of works on site.
• Oversee installation of 250 mm HV cable ducting and HV structures.
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, plant and materials to keep the programme on track.
• Monitor progress, quality and health and safety across the works.

Direct experience working for a subcontractor on comparable projects is essential.

THE ROLE

You will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of works including:

• Installation of 250 mm HV cable ducting.
• Deep excavations up to 4 metres.
• Temporary works and foundations.
• HV structures and cable installation.
• Coordination of site teams, subcontractors, plant and materials.
• Monitoring progress, quality and health and safety.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• National Grid Competent Person and Document Holder.
• SMSTS.
• First Aid.
• EUSR Power.
• Proven experience managing the installation of 250 mm HV cable ducting.
• Experience delivering deep excavations, temporary works, foundations, HV structures and cable installation.
• A subcontractor background with the ability to deliver against a demanding programme.

WHAT'S ON OFFER
