Job summary

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Site Manager to oversee a £3 million warehouse fit-out in Walthamstow, East London. The project runs for 24 weeks starting at the beginning of November, with interviews next week.

You will lead day-to-day site activities, coordinate subcontractors, monitor progress and ensure health and safety compliance on site, delivering to programme milestones and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering fit-out or refurbishments for warehouses (desirable).
• Valid SMSTS, CSCS card and First Aid certification.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely and efficiently.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors, trades and site labour.
• Ensure the project programme is maintained and key milestones are achieved.
• Monitor quality of work and ensure all activities meet project specifications.
• Implement and maintain health and safety standards across the site.
• Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks and regular safety inspections.
• Coordinate deliveries, materials, plant and site resources.
• Liaise with the Project Manager, subcontractors and design team to resolve site issues.
• Monitor progress against the programme and report on delays, risks and potential issues.
• Ensure site records, daily reports and relevant project documentation are maintained.
• Identify and resolve site issues promptly to minimise disruption to the project.

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Site Manager to oversee a £3 million project, fitting out an industrial unit in Walthamstow, East London.

It is a scheme which runs for 24 weeks, starting at the beginning of November. We're looking to interview for the role next week.

The client has been winning a lot of work of late including in the warehouse fit-out and refurbishments sector, this is an order book that runs firmly into 2027 so long-term work is available for the right candidate.

About the role of Site Manager

The company is an established construction contractor delivering high-quality construction and refurbishment projects. This role offers the opportunity to join a dedicated project team and take a leading role in the successful delivery of a significant warehouse fit-out scheme. You will be responsible for the day to day running of a £3 million warehouse fit-out, ensuring works are delivered efficiently to the programme. Working closely with the Project Manager and subcontractors, you will coordinate site activities, manage labour and resources and oversee the delivery of internal alterations and fit-out works within an existing warehouse environment.

Requirements for Site Manager

• Experience delivering fit-out, refurbishment or cut and carve projects for warehouses highly desirable.
• Valid SMSTS, CSCS card and First Aid certification.
• Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations and site compliance.
• Ability to work effectively with the wider project team to deliver the scheme successfully.
• Driving license for future work.
