Job summary

Sustainable Building Services is seeking an experienced Site Manager to support ambitious expansion plans in Leicester, overseeing residential retrofitting and decarbonisation projects. You will manage programmes, H&S, and supplier coordination across UK sites.

The role requires 2+ years in construction, RAMS and regulatory awareness, and relevant qualifications (SMSTS, CSCS, first aid). A full UK driving licence is essential for mobile site duties.

Qualifications

• 2+ years construction experience managing projects including programmes & H&S requirements.
• Energy efficiency and/or social housing experience is beneficial.
• SMSTS and CSCS Card required with valid First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Ensure weekly progress reports are issued to the contract team.
• Review RAMS and ensure site H&S compliance.
• Monitor master programme and ensure adequate labour and subcontractors.
• Lead weekly toolbox briefings for site teams and subcontractors.
• Organise site facilities and logistics; ensure equipment is fit for purpose.
• Oversee materials deliveries in line with procurement schedule.
• Ensure workmanship and materials meet designs, regs, and quality standards.
• Chair weekly client/contractor review meetings.
• Maintain records of project activities for traceability.
• Carry out safety inspections as per company policy.

Due to our exciting growth plans, we are looking for an experienced Site Manager to support the Company’s ambitious expansion plans in the Leicester as we continue to build teams across the UK.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring weekly progress reports are completed and issued to contract team.
• Review all required RAMS and ensure H&S of sites and company is fulfilled.
• Regularly monitor and liaise with the reporting Manager regarding the master programme, ensuring adequate labour and sub-contractor resources are procured and able to meet the programme.
• Carry out weekly toolbox briefings to the site teams and sub-contractors.
• Plan and efficiently organise the site facilities and logistics, ensuring all equipment on site is fit for purpose and only operated by appropriately trained staff.
• Requisition all materials and oversee the deliveries and ensure they are done so in adequate time in line with the construction programme and procurement schedule.
• Ensure workmanship and material standards are achieved in accordance with designs, specifications, building regulations, health and safety legislation as well as quality standards.
• Liaise with surveyors regarding cost control, waste management, variations and confirmation of instructions.
• Organise and chair weekly client / contractor review meetings.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of own activity related to projects to enable traceability.
• Carrying out safety inspections and fulfilling the health, safety and welfare responsibilities as detailed in the Company’s policy.

• Proficient in IT (Excel / Word).

• Knowledge of current PAS2030 & 2035 requirements

Qualifications:

• SMSTS
• CSCS Card

Experience:
