Job summary

Build Recruitment is seeking an experienced Site Manager for a major housing development on St Mary's, Isles of Scilly. You will lead day-to-day site operations, coordinating civil and structural works and managing subcontractors to deliver 27 dwellings and associated infrastructure.

The role requires strong health & safety knowledge, excellent communication and the ability to keep works on programme while working on a 12 days on / 2 days off rotation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Site Manager within construction.
• Strong civil and structural construction experience.
• Experience managing site teams and subcontractors.
• Knowledge of earthworks, drainage, infrastructure and retaining structures.
• Strong understanding of construction health & safety.
• Ability to manage site activities and keep works on programme.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications.
• Experience working on remote or logistically challenging projects would be highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day site operations to deliver works safely, efficiently and on programme.

Location: St Mary's, Isles of Scilly

Project: Carn Thomas Housing Development

Rotation: 12 days on / 2 days off

Salary: Competitive - dependent on experience

We are currently looking for an experienced Site Manager to join a major housing development on St Mary's, Isles of Scilly.

The project involves the construction of 27 new social housing dwellings, alongside extensive civil and infrastructure works on a steeply sloping site.

The Project

The works include:

• 27 new residential dwellings
• Earthworks and groundworks
• Retaining structures
• Drainage and utilities
• Roads and infrastructure
• External works
• Civil and structural construction

About the Role

As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the site, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to programme.

We are looking for someone with:
