Finlay Jude Associates are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, family-run construction company with over 40 years of experience in the industry. Based in Greater Manchester, our client delivers projects across education, housing, and commercial sectors, working with both public and private organisations. Role

As Site Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of a designated site and its team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning, coordinating, and leading the site team to deliver projects successfully.
  • Building strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, senior managers, and colleagues.
  • Ensuring full compliance with health and safety legislation.
  • Delegating tasks effectively, supporting training needs, and appraising staff performance.
  • Delivering projects on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.
  • Managing labour and material costs efficiently.
  • Supporting the company\'s Social Value Strategy on site.
  • Striving to achieve zero defects across all work.
  • Attending relevant training and development courses.

We are looking for a motivated, results-driven Site Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will:

  • Have a proven track record of managing construction projects within housing, education, and/or commercial sectors.
  • Come from a trade background with progression into site management, or hold a construction-related degree.
  • Be a team player with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Remain calm and effective under pressure.
  • Be confident using Microsoft Office and IT systems.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to quality management systems and continuous improvement.
  • Motivate and coach site teams to embed a culture of quality and accountability.
What You'll Need
  • NVQ Level 4 in Construction Site Management, HNC, or Degree (or equivalent).
  • CSCS Black Card.
  • SMSTS certification.
  • First Aid at Work qualification.
  • Strong IT skills (Word, Excel, Office 365).
