Job summary

Randstad CPE is seeking a Freelance / Cover Site Manager to oversee residential sites on short-term contracts across Reading, Newbury and surrounding Berkshire areas. You will ensure programmes stay on track while upholding high H&S standards on site.

The ideal candidate has demonstrable experience managing volume housebuilding projects, strong trade management and subcontractor coordination, and a solid knowledge of UK building regulations and quality control.

Qualifications

• Experience across all build stages (Groundworks to Final Handover / Customer Care).
• Strong trade management, sub-contractor coordination, and daily site administration.
• Comprehensive knowledge of UK building regulations, quality control, and site safety.
• Valid Qualifications: SMSTS, CSCS Black Card, First Aid at Work.

Randstad CPE team is looking for an experienced Residential Site Manager available for temporary, short‑term cover and freelance contracts across Reading, Newbury, and surrounding Berkshire areas. Proven track record managing volume housebuilding sites (PLC & regional), keeping programmes on track, and upholding high H&S standards.

Required Qualifications and experience

• Experienced across all build stages (Groundworks to Final Handover / Customer Care)
• Strong trade management, sub‑contractor coordination, and daily site administration
• Comprehensive knowledge of UK building regulations, quality control, and site safety
• Valid Qualifications: SMSTS, CSCS Black Card, First Aid at Work
