Job summary

Fawkes & Reece London is seeking an experienced Site Manager for two major projects in Chester and the Wirral. You will lead on-site delivery, manage programmes, supervise subcontractors, and uphold HSEQ standards on fast-moving refurb and new-build schemes.

Reporting to Contracts Manager, you will drive progress meetings, coordinate trade packages, plan ahead to mitigate risk, and contribute to a clear career path with excellent progression opportunities within a growing principal contractor.

Qualifications

• Background of site management within a principal contractor setting.
• Experience across both new build and refurbishment projects.
• Experience managing internal and external trade packages to deliver projects on time and to a high quality.
• Degree or equivalent in built environment (BSc/HND/HNC) and CIOB or equivalent tickets.
• Proven track record delivering high standards and HSEQ behaviours.
• Strong planning and time management with ability to anticipate and manage risk.

Are you a main contractor Site Manager looking for a fresh start?

There are two opportunities available for Site Managers in Chester and in the Wirral for brand new sites starting end of the year. One is the full refurbishment of a leading restaurant and the other is a new build retail/ industrial unit.

Reporting to a visiting Contracts Manager, you will take the lead of the site, responsible for managing the programme, overseeing subcontractors, health & safety, quality assurance & carry out progress meetings with the Contracts Manager in delivery of the project.

The company are a multi-disciplinary principal contractor with a solid track record of delivering high quality design and build & refurbishment projects across commercial, retail, industrial projects. This is a fast growing main contractor with an impressive pipeline of projects that can offer excellent career development opportunities.

Experience / Qualifications Required:

• Background of Site Management from a principal contractor background


• Ideally have a mix of experience between new build and refurbishment


• Experience of managing various internal & external trade packages and delivering projects on time and to high quality.


• Academically Qualified BSc Construction Management / HND / HNC in built environment, CIOB or equivalent trade route background and relevant industry tickets and certificates.


• Track record of the delivery of high standards and behaviours in HSEQ


• Excellent planning & time management skills with the ability to think ahead & manage risk.
