Job summary

Cardo Group in Cardiff is seeking a Site Manager to lead a range of projects across our refurbishment contracts. You will work with contractors, residents and clients to ensure safety, quality and on-time delivery while maintaining strong relationships and transparent communication.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of site management experience, a valid SMSTS and CSCS cards, and a solid grasp of PAS2030/MCS where applicable.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years site management experience.
• Experience on EWI projects.
• Good knowledge of the Construction industry.
• Experience in multiple refurbishment projects.
• Strong communication with supply chain, clients, residents and internal staff.
• Good understanding of health and safety.
• Driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project delivery to programme within budget and timeframes.
• Ensure works comply with Building Control regulations and PAS2030/MCS requirements.
• Represent Cardo Group in client meetings and site visits.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers and internal teams to maintain safety and quality.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for audits.

We are currently looking for a Site Manager to join our Cardiff Team.As Site Manager you are responsible for providing an excellent service that is safe, effective and efficient in the delivery of a variety of projects and programs across our varying contracts and ensuring that all works are delivered to the high-quality standards that our clients expect from us in an efficient and VFM manner.As well as this you will be acting as the company's representation to our clients and their residents, providing effective and efficient communication between the client, residents and our internal project teams.The Site Manager will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships between Cardo and its clients by being open, honest, and transparent.

Core responsibilities involve:

• Working closely with contractors and suppliers and making sure the project is finished within the allotted budget and timeframe.
• You will also be in charge of making sure that all work is completed in line with the programme of works whilst ensuring highest standards of health & safety are observed and followed.
• Working with and too Building Control regulations and requirements as well as all other statutory and mandatory regulations/legislation and requirements including best practice.
• Working to drawings and specifications.
• Be able to produce COPs review and compliance RAMS.
• Attend both internal and client meetings representing the business in a professional manner.
• Generate, review and achieve programme performance.
• Be organised and proficient in the use of various of ICT systems, regulations, and legislation to the entire building/construction industry as well as H&S and the landlord and tenants act.
• Must be able to adapt and have a willing attitude to work on other departmental work streams for the purpose of team playing and cross covering.
• Involve residents in the overall process and ensure they are aware of current situations.
• Develop effective working relationships with residents, direct labour operatives, sub-contractors, clients, building control and the local fire authority.
• Act as the representative and be the face of Cardo Group.
• Carry out/support the customer liaison officers with resident consultation / engagement and to support the project team in pre-consultation and update meetings.
• Encourage positive relationships between the company and the resident's ensuring actions are followed up
• Ensure works are installed to PAS2030/MCS requirements.
• Providing clear and concise communication on progress and activity in both technical and clear simple terms
• Convey accurate information both to residents and from residents to the project team.
• Take ownership and deal with customer/resident complaints through to completion and sharing lessons learnt with the project team and senior management team.
• Strong negotiation and being able to deliver your point in a professional manner and treating others with respect.
• Updating systems to ensure that all documents relating to your role are saved and ready for auditing in strict accordance with Cardo procedures.
• Control project execution plans and delivery structured updates to the client.
• Manage, review and monitor risk, program, plant, quality, cost.
• Promote and follow good Project governance through the policies and procedures laid out by the Cardo Group.
• Understand and work within team targets.
• Liaison with project Co-Ordinator to ensure works as compliant.

Skills & Experience:

• A minimum of 5 years previous site management experience.
• Experience on EWI Projects.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Packages.
• Sound knowledge of the Construction industry.
• Experience of working in multiple refurbishment project settings/projects.
• Experience of multiple communication between supply chain partners, clients, residents and internal staff.
• Good Commercial understanding.
• A recognised building/trade qualification.
• Good Understanding of Health and Safety.
