Site Manager Role Purpose
Responsible for the safe execution of concurrent projects across various Rolls-Royce sites. Ensure project delivery aligns with Integral & Rolls-Royce standards concerning safety, quality, and schedule, while complying as a Principal Contractor with current CDM legislation, including MS18 and CSO6 standards. Candidates should be qualified in a related trade such as mechanical, electrical, civil engineering, building fabric, roofing, etc.
What You Will Be Doing As Our Site Manager
- Provide health and safety leadership to your site delivery team, promote behavioral safety improvements, and conduct regular site safety audits, reporting findings to management and safety teams.
- Support project risk management and establish effective controls to ensure safe, timely project delivery in accordance with the program set by senior management.
- Identify and support project opportunities to improve commercial performance.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients and stakeholders to protect and enhance the company's reputation at the site level.
- Ensure mandatory reporting of KPIs, Good Catches/Near Misses, accidents, and incidents as per company procedures.
- Ensure suppliers, subcontractors, and direct workforce adhere to company policies on health & safety, quality assurance, and engineering standards.
- Conduct regular toolbox talks and daily activity briefings with Rolls Royce and subcontractors.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and expenditures, reporting to the project manager as needed.
- Liaise with the project manager to order materials required for project completion.
- Coordinate all site activities, issue permits in compliance with CDM and CSO6 regulations.
- Coordinate with the Rolls Royce Project Manager to ensure work is delivered according to the workbook.
- Ensure work is completed to a high standard, complying with British Standards, codes of practice, and Rolls Royce standards, and free from snag and defects.
- Lead your team to meet and exceed business performance targets, managing and supporting team members effectively.
What We Will Need From You
- Proven experience as a supervisor or site manager.
- Experience in external construction, including groundworks, steel framing, cladding, and drainage.
- Experience working in occupied buildings or campuses (highly desirable).
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures and regulations.
- Ability to understand customer business requirements.
- Construction-related qualification such as City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent.
- Certifications including SSSTS/SMSTS, JIB/BESA, CSCS, First Aid.
- Proficiency in IT software, including MS Office and quality assurance tools like Fieldview.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, reliable, and flexible.
- Ability to lead and support a team effectively.
