Job summary

Emerald Teaching LTD is seeking a reliable Site Manager to provide temporary cover at a Bolton area school. The role runs 7:00am to 4:00pm with a break. Initially for at least one week, with potential for additional work based on need.

You will oversee day-to-day maintenance, safety, and smooth running of the site, liaising with contractors and responding to issues such as leaks or blocked toilets. Independent and proactive candidates only.

Responsibilities

• Support cleaning duties where required, especially after spills or leaks.

We are currently looking for a reliable and proactive Site Manager to provide temporary cover at a school in the Bolton area.

The position is initially required for at least one week, with the possibility of further work depending on the school’s requirements.

Working Hours

7:00am to 4:00pm, with a one-hour break or two 30-minute breaks.

About the Role

As Site Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day maintenance, safety and smooth running of the school site.

Your duties will include:

• Carrying out general site maintenance and ensuring the premises remain safe and secure
• Liaising with contractors when required
• Responding to site issues during the school day, including blocked toilets, leaks and spills
• Completing light handyman duties, such as putting up shelves, minor painting and general making good
• Supporting with cleaning duties where required, particularly in response to spills, leaks or other issues

You will be responsible for site maintenance independently. However, cleaners are based on site, and other members of school staff will be available to provide initial guidance and support.

We are looking for someone who is reliable, practical and able to work independently, with a proactive approach to maintaining a safe school environment.
