Job summary

Bennett & Game Recruitment Ltd. is recruiting an experienced Site Manager for structural steelwork projects based in South Yorkshire, serving UK and Europe.

You will oversee day-to-day site activities, coordinate operatives and subcontractors, and ensure work is delivered safely, on time and to the required standards. The ideal candidate will have prior site management experience in structural steel erection, with SMSTS (or equivalent), CSCS and a First Aid certificate preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Site Manager role within structural steelwork.
• Experience of structural steel erection, including lining and levelling.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation and site procedures.
• SMSTS qualification or equivalent recognised site management safety training.
• Appropriate CSCS card.
• MEWP or other relevant plant operator certification would be advantageous.
• A current First Aid certificate would be beneficial.
• Strong organisational, communication and site management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate day-to-day site activities across allocated structural steelwork projects.
• Ensure all works comply with current Health & Safety legislation, company policies and site procedures.
• Monitor progress against agreed programmes, identifying potential delays and implementing corrective actions where required.
• Coordinate subcontractors and site operatives to ensure works are completed in line with project requirements.
• Liaise with clients and project teams to maintain effective communication and support successful project delivery.
• Oversee structural steelwork erection activities, ensuring work is completed safely and to the required standards.

Based in South Yorkshire, the business has the capability to process up to 50,000 tonnes of steel annually and delivers projects throughout the UK and Europe.

Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Site Manager to oversee the day-to-day delivery of structural steelwork projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing site activities, coordinating operatives and subcontractors, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
