Job description

Job purpose: To carry out general site maintenance duties, improving the general infrastructure and upkeep of the buildings and grounds to a standard that will ensure the site complies with required standards expected of a food manufacturing site.

Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities

1. Work with other members of the team to help maintain and improve the site
2. Sweeping walkways and other areas to keep them clear and free from any debris
3. From time to time assisting with building and maintenance repairs during factory shutdown or as and when required by Site Services Supervisor
4. Be flexible to respond to immediate Health, Safety and Welfare issues to minimise disruption across the Lifton site
5. Cover the Site Waste Operative as and when required
6. Be prepared to undergo training to support and assist other departments across site
7. Committed to improving standards throughout the site
8. Follow all Safety, Health and Environmental procedures (ISO, SOP's) that relate to this role
9. Carry out and document all equipment pre-use safety checks, reporting any issues identified
10. Ensure correct PPE is used when carrying out duties
11. Seek ways to improve any duties that require to be carried out to make safer, cleaner and more cost-effective ways of working
12. Carry out any ad hoc duties that may be required by the business from time to time

Skills And Experience

Essential:

Desirable:

1. Knowledge of safe and effective application techniques for herbicides and pesticides.
2. Experience with the use of power tools as well as blowers for efficient yard maintenance.
3. Knowledgeable in maintaining lawns, plants, and overall yard appearance.

1. FLT licence or willingness to undertake
