Job summary

Arvato is seeking a proactive Site Maintenance Engineer to join the team at Hams Hall, Birmingham. You will maintain building, equipment, robotics and automation systems in a fast-paced warehouse environment to ensure safety and business continuity.

You will work with Site Engineering and Facilities teams, perform PPMs, troubleshoot faults, coordinate contractors and contribute to continuous improvement while upholding Health & Safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance, facilities or building services engineering.
• Multi-skilled maintenance with mechanical and/or electrical knowledge.
• Experience in warehouse, manufacturing or logistics environment.
• Experience with robotics/automation is advantageous.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Good Health & Safety understanding and contractor management.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise.
• Self-motivated, proactive and hands-on.
• Confident communicator across teams.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across the site.
• Respond quickly to reactive maintenance issues to minimise downtime.
• Support maintenance, fault-finding and basic troubleshooting of robotics and automation.
• Coordinate and supervise external contractors safely and to standard.
• Support statutory compliance, inspections and maintenance records.
• Conduct routine site inspections and identify improvement opportunities.
• Assist with equipment installations and site improvement projects.
• Ensure all work aligns with Health & Safety legislation and procedures.
• Support environmental and sustainability initiatives across the site.
