Site Maintenance Engineer - Manufacturing Operations

Location: North Shields
Salary: £Competitive Salary plus benefits
Working Hours: Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30pm

Marshalls Landscape Protection provides protective street furniture designed to promote the safety of shared urban spaces. As part of the Marshalls Group, we offer an extensive collection of products, including bollards, planters, and seating, available in various material options.

We're now recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join our busy manufacturing department at our North Shields site.

What's the mission?

In this exciting role, you will be accountable for prioritizing engineering activities at our North Shields site, ensuring that standards for health, safety, environment, quality, people, and performance are delivered on both a personal and team level. You will support and develop a strategy with the Site Operations Manager to meet and exceed KPIs, engaging colleagues to create and sustain a proactive culture and instilling a proactive approach to the prevention of equipment failure and downtimes.

What are the mission-critical skills?

• Electrical and/or mechanical qualifications / time served apprenticeship
• ONC/HNC or equivalent in engineering related subject
• Hold 17th/18th Edition Certificate
• Experience in a medium/large manufacturing operation with relevant safety systems and quality standards
• Able to demonstrate the use of data / analytical skills
• Experience of continuous improvement/lean manufacturing techniques
• Experience in fault finding and rectification
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Good technical communication skills
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings (mechanical & electrical)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook)
