Job summary

Marshalls plc in Sandy, United Kingdom, is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join the team. You will ensure continuous production by fault finding and maintaining hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical/electronic control systems and mechanical equipment.

The role involves planned and reactive maintenance on-site, following a 48-hour week with dayshift: Monday to Thursday (10 hours) and Friday (8 hours). The company offers a supportive environment with learning opportunities and benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven mechanical fitting experience and knowledge of conveyors, drives, gearboxes and couplings.
• Solid understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Able to fault-find and repair faults safely and efficiently.
• Welding and fabrication skills are essential.
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs is advantageous.
• Turning and milling experience would be beneficial.
• Experience in medium to heavy industry, especially aggregates, is advantageous.
• Electrical qualifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Ensure continuous running of production by reducing downtime through fault finding and maintenance of equipment.
• Perform planned and reactive engineering activities on-site.
• Work a 48-hour week with days shift pattern: Mon-Thu 10 hours and Fri 8 hours.
