Job summary

Balvac is seeking a Site Agent to lead on-site operations for structural repair, strengthening and refurbishment projects across the UK, including Leeds and Derby. You will manage direct labour and subcontractors and ensure safe, high‑quality, efficient delivery.

The role requires strong leadership and communication, with responsibility for programme delivery, risk assessments and construction phase plans. Balvac offers challenging projects and a proactive safety culture.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership, communication and team‑management skills.
• Ability to manage scheme budgets and commercial elements.
• Robust understanding of Health, Safety & Environmental requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead site teams to deliver projects on programme, budget and specification.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and the Business Management System.
• Oversee site setting‑out and dimensional control.
• Develop and review risk assessments, method statements, PMPs, ITPs, Construction Phase Plans.
• Produce project programmes and track progress, outputs and productivity.
• Drive Zero Harm and behavioural safety initiatives.
• Apply Lean construction techniques including daily visual meetings and BIM360Field.
• Identify and resolve engineering and construction issues proactively.
• Manage construction records, O&M documentation and as‑built information.
