Job summary

Balvac, part of Balfour Beatty, is recruiting a Senior Contracts Engineer to lead complex concrete repair projects across the North West and beyond. The role involves owning projects, leading site teams, and delivering high-quality outcomes for clients.

You'll work closely with Contracts Managers and Project Managers, managing multiple teams and ensuring safety, cost efficiency and programme adherence. Based in Warrington, with mix of site and office work.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering degree (or equivalent)
• Proven experience delivering structural or specialist concrete repair projects
• Experience on infrastructure schemes involving concrete structures
• Strong technical knowledge of structural repairs and construction methodologies
• Ability to manage multiple teams and workstreams
• Understanding of cost, programme and site performance management
• Proactive leadership and excellent communication skills
• Strong commitment to Zero Harm and high safety standards

Responsibilities

• Lead Balvac projects from site to completion
• Coordinate site teams and specialist subcontractors
• Ensure works align with drawings, specs and PM plans
• Prepare and review method statements, risk assessments and documentation
• Oversee dimensional control, setting-out and technical delivery on site
• Develop and monitor programmes, progress and productivity
• Uphold health, safety and environmental performance
• Manage construction records and as-built drawings
