Job summary

Portswood Primary School is seeking a dedicated Site Lead to maintain our school site, ensuring it remains safe, secure and well-presented for pupils, staff and visitors. You will work as part of the Trust's Estates team, handling site maintenance, security and health and safety checks, plus contractor management.

This role involves supporting day-to-day operational needs, assisting with events and responding to issues as they arise.

Qualifications

• Experience of general maintenance and repairs.
• Good understanding of health and safety practices.
• Ability to manage a varied workload and work independently.
• Communicates well with staff, contractors and visitors.
• Reliable, flexible and takes pride in high standards.
• Confident using basic IT systems and keeping accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Maintain buildings and grounds to a safe, clean and presentable standard.
• Carry out routine compliance checks and servicing tasks.
• Liaise with contractors and respond to operational issues as they arise.
• Support school events and activities as needed.
• Occasionally provide cover at other Trust schools to share expertise.

Portswood Primary School is seeking a dedicated Site Lead to play a key role in maintaining our school site and ensuring it remains safe, secure and well-presented for pupils, staff and visitors. Working as part of our Trust's Estates team, you will undertake a varied role including site maintenance, security, health and safety checks, contractor management and supporting the day-to-day operational needs of the school.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in general maintenance and repairs who takes pride in their work and enjoys solving problems. You'll help maintain buildings and grounds, carry out routine compliance checks, support school events, liaise with contractors and respond to operational issues as they arise. There may also be occasional opportunities to provide support at other Trust schools, helping to share expertise and maintain high standards across our sites.
