Job summary

Tanners Brook Primary School is seeking a dedicated Site Lead to maintain our school site, ensuring it remains safe, secure and well-presented for pupils, staff and visitors.

You will be part of our Estates team, carrying out site maintenance, health and safety checks, contractor management and supporting the day-to-day operational needs of the school, with occasional opportunities to assist other Trust sites. Join us to help create a safe, welcoming environment where every child can thrive.

Qualifications

• Experience in general maintenance and repairs.
• Good understanding of health and safety practices.
• Ability to manage a varied workload and work independently.
• Clear communication with staff, contractors and visitors.
• Reliable, flexible and committed to high standards.
• Confident using basic IT systems and keeping accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Maintain buildings and grounds on a day-to-day basis.
• Carry out routine health and safety checks and record findings.
• Manage contractors and service providers for the site.
• Support day-to-day operational needs and events at the school.
• Liaise with staff, contractors and visitors to maintain a safe environment.
• Occasionally support other Trust schools and share best practices.

Tanners Brook Primary School is seeking a dedicated Site Lead to play a key role in maintaining our school site and ensuring it remains safe, secure and well-presented for pupils, staff and visitors. Working as part of our Trust's Estates team, you will undertake a varied role including site maintenance, security, health and safety checks, contractor management and supporting the day-to-day operational needs of the school.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in general maintenance and repairs who takes pride in their work and enjoys solving problems. You'll help maintain buildings and grounds, carry out routine compliance checks, support school events, liaise with contractors and respond to operational issues as they arise. There may also be occasional opportunities to provide support at other Trust schools, helping to share expertise and maintain high standards across our sites.

No two days are the same, and you'll be an important part of ensuring our school community has an environment where everyone can flourish.
