Job summary

Vortex Companies is seeking a site labourer to support drainage, utility installation and groundwork activities on civil engineering projects in the United Kingdom. You will assist with loading, unloading and moving materials, support plant operators and skilled trades, and help maintain a clean and safe site.

The role requires a valid CSCS Card, a full UK driving licence, and a solid understanding of health and safety on site. Confined space and Street works qualifications are highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Valid CSCS Card is required.
• Full UK Driving Licence is required.
• Experience on construction, civil engineering, utilities or groundwork projects is preferred.
• Confined space certification is required.
• Street works / NRSWA qualification is preferred.
• Good understanding of health & safety on site is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with drainage and utility installation works.
• Supporting excavation and groundwork activities.
• Loading, unloading and moving materials and equipment safely around site.
• Assisting plant operators and skilled trades where required.
• Maintaining site cleanliness and order.
• Following all health and safety procedures and site rules.
• Assisting with temporary works and traffic management activities.
• Working as part of a team to ensure works are completed safely and efficiently.
• Carrying out general labouring duties as directed by site management.
