Job summary

TXM Recruit is partnering with a prominent automation and intralogistics company to hire an experienced Site Installation Manager to oversee the installation of fast-paced automated intralogistic systems in the UK. The role involves significant UK travel and occasional overnight stays depending on project location.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the automated intralogistics sector or installation of capital equipment, with strong H&S and on-site leadership capabilities to manage

Qualifications

• SMSTS qualification or equivalent.
• Interpersonal and client management skills.
• Ability to organise day-to-day tasks and plan ahead.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Experience producing progress reports for internal and client use.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for Health & Safety on site.
• Managing on-site personnel and subcontractors daily with the Project Manager.
• Maintain site H&S procedures and documentation.
• Management of general day-to-day running of the project.
• Carry out regular safety audits and checks.
• Organise material and plant deliveries and returns on site.
• General office tasks: minutes, documentation, open issues management.
• Administration of apartments for installation teams if required.

Position: Site Installation Manager
Location: UK
Salary: £50,000 - £58,000
TXM Recruit is partnering with a prominent automation and intralogistics company to hire an experienced Site Installation Manager to oversee the installation of fast-paced automated intralogstic systems. This role will a lot of UK travel and staying over depending on where the project is in the UK.
The Ideal candidate will have experience working within the automated intralogistics sector or installation of systems/capital equipment.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for management of Health & Safety on site
• Managing on site personnel and subcontractors on a day-to-day basis. Local programme management in conjunction with the Project Manager
• Maintaining the relevant site H&S procedures and documentation
• Management of the general day-to-day running of the project
• Carrying out regular safety audits and checks
• Organisation and coordination of material and plant deliveries arriving on site and coordination of their return
• General office tasks (minutes of essential site meetings, documentation and management of agreed open issues)
• Administration of apartments for installation teams (hand-over of keys, documentation of occupancy etc. if required)

Skills, qualifications and experience

• Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) qualification or equivalent,
• Systematic approach to dealing with problems and issues
• Excellent interpersonal and client management skills
• Ability to organise both day-to-day tasks and prepare for future tasks as detailed in the project programme
• An understanding of the installation of Material Handling Systems is essential
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Report production (internal and client progress reports)
