Anne Corder Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Installation & Commissioning Engineer for a site-based role in Sandy. You will install, commission, service and maintain specialist equipment across customer sites in the UK and overseas, diagnosing faults and delivering on-site technical support.

Reading drawings and having an engineering background is essential, with training available for PLC/HMI as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding experience in manufacturing or service.
• Experience installing, commissioning, servicing or field service engineering.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and technical docs.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel UK/overseas.

Responsabilités

• Install, commission, service and maintain specialist equipment on customer sites in UK and overseas.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical/electrical faults to minimise downtime.
• Provide on-site technical support and build strong customer relationships.
• Support refurbishment, repairs and workshop activities when not travelling.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and uphold quality and safety standards.

Are you a hands-on engineer who enjoys variety, problem solving, and working directly with customers? We're recruiting for an experienced Multi-Skilled Service, Installation & Commissioning Engineer to join a well-established engineering manufacturer supplying specialist equipment to the food processing sector across the UK and internationally. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex machinery installations, commissioning projects, breakdown support, and customer service activities, with extensive opportunities for overtime and ongoing technical development.

Installation & Commissioning Engineer - Sandy, Bedfordshire (Site-Based) - £45,000 + Overtime

Multi-Skilled Service, Installation & Commissioning Engineer's Key Responsibilities:

• Install, commission, service and maintain specialist processing equipment across customer sites in the UK and overseas.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults to minimise customer downtime.
• Provide professional on-site technical support and build strong customer relationships.
• Support equipment refurbishment, repairs, and workshop-based engineering activities when not travelling.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and uphold high standards of quality, safety, and professionalism.

Skills & Experience Required as a Multi-Skilled Service, Installation & Commissioning Engineer:

• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding experience within a manufacturing, machinery, maintenance, or installation environment.
• Previous experience carrying out equipment installation, commissioning, servicing, or field service engineering activities.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Engineering apprenticeship, City & Guilds qualification, HNC/HND, or equivalent engineering background desirable.
• PLC and HMI knowledge would be advantageous but is not essential as training can be provided.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the UK and overseas as required.
• Flexible approach to working hours, including occasional weekends and customer shutdown periods.
