Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd is seeking a site-based Air Conditioning Engineer to join a FMCG facilities management team near Leicester. You will maintain, service and troubleshoot VRV/VRF, chillers and split systems, perform routine maintenance, diagnose faults and coordinate with contractors to ensure minimal downtime and peak performance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Air Conditioning Engineer or similar role within the facilities management industry
• Hold your F-Gas Cat 1 Regulations certification
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair techniques
• Familiarity with refrigeration principles and equipment
• Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Effective communication and customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Maintain, service and troubleshoot a variety of air conditioning systems, including split systems, VRV/VRF systems, and chillers
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning coils, replacing filters, moving parts, to prolong the lifespan of HVAC equipment
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in air conditioning units, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency
• Conduct inspections and assessments of HVAC systems to identify potential issues and recommend appropriate solutions
• Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and contractors to coordinate complex repairs and system upgrades
• Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations to promote a safe working environment
