Job summary

Vortex Companies, LLC is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to join our London operations. You will support the implementation and continuous improvement of HSQE systems across sites, promoting a positive safety culture and ensuring legal and company compliance.

The role is primarily site-based, working with site teams, contractors and management to implement safe systems of work, conduct audits, coordinate safety training and contribute to HSQE reporting and KPI data.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) preferred.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage at all levels.
• Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple site priorities.
• Good report writing and documentation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to positively influence safety behaviours and promote a proactive safety culture.
• Primarily site-based role across operational locations.
• Attendance at company offices will be required as requested to support operational requirements.

Responsibilities

• Site Health & Safety Support: Conduct regular site audits to monitor compliance with procedures and legislation.
• Provide practical health and safety guidance and support to site management and operational teams.
• Assist in the development and implementation of safe systems of work, RAMS.
• Promote safe working practices and intervene where unsafe acts are identified.
• Support operational teams in maintaining high standards of housekeeping and site safety.
• Safety Critical Equipment Management: Coordinate inspections, servicing and certification schedules.
• Update equipment registers and track equipment status.
• Support distribution and delivery of equipment to sites.
• Monitor compliance relating to safety critical equipment.
