Job summary

Mactech Energy Group is seeking a site-based Environmental Advisor to join the Sizewell C Delivery Construction Team on a landmark nuclear project in the UK. You will support environmental performance, ensure compliance with permits and regulations, and collaborate with Tier 1 partners to drive sustainable delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in an Environmental Management role on a construction or industrial site.
• Detailed knowledge of UK environmental legislation for construction/industrial installations.
• Awareness of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015).
• Degree in environmental or related discipline.
• Experience with EMS conforming to ISO14001.

Responsibilities

• Undertake site inspections of contractors' work areas and report environmental issues.
• Provide written and verbal advice on environmental legislation, permits and constraints.
• Review contractors' environmental management plans and RAMs for compliance.
• Support internal audits and self-assessments of site activities for compliance.
• Lead investigations of environmental incidents and propose corrective actions.
