Job Description

Scantec FMCG recruitment is partnering with a large multi-national FMCG manufacturer to assist in their search for a Site Engineering Manager at their site in South Lanarkshire.

As the Site Engineering Manager, your role will be to lead the engineering department on site to deliver departmental and site strategies. Maximising OEE through robust leadership of the engineering shift teams will be crucial, so an individual who enjoys leading, managing, and developing team members is essential. This role is the most senior engineering position on site and requires credibility in presenting to and influencing senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver the engineering strategy on site, focusing on improving OEE, building a talent pipeline, and managing spare parts and finances.
• Lead by example, promoting behavioral standards aligned with the company's values and culture.
• Coach employees in operational excellence practices and utilize best practices to foster continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Experience

• Experienced engineering leader, ideally with a Degree or HND in engineering or a related discipline.
• Practical experience with automation and/or mechatronics in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying strategies and plans internally and to senior stakeholders.
