Job summary

Carrington West, on behalf of an established contractor delivering a major treatment plant project in Leicester, is seeking a Section Engineer with strong QA and below-ground civils experience.

You will own engineering and quality for your section, focusing on pipe laying, ducting and underground installations, working hands-on with the site team and subcontractors to maintain safety and programme.

Qualifications

• Experience in QA checks, ITPs and inspection records.
• Experience with pipe laying, ducting and below-ground installations.
• Knowledge of permits to work/dig and RAMS review.

Responsibilities

• Complete and manage QA checks, ITPs and inspection records.
• Oversee pipe laying, ducting and below-ground installations.
• Write and manage permits to work / permits to dig.
• Identify and manage risks associated with existing underground services.
• Review drawings and raise RFIs.
• Set out and engineering control.
• Maintain accurate as-builts and site records.
• Coordinate subcontractors and resolve engineering issues.
• Review RAMS to ensure safety and quality standards.
