Job summary

Randstad Construction & Property in Dartford, Kent seeks a Site Engineer / Subagent for a major heavy civils and tunnelling project. You will supervise the 77m underpass, manage SCL lining, waterproofing and associated works.

The role offers a 12-month contract at £350–£400 per day outside IR35, with site hours 07:00–18:00 and an immediate start. You will lead safety, QA activities, and coordinate subcontractors on site.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering heavy civils, SCL tunnelling, shaft sinking or underground structures.
• Willingness to work standard site hours 07:00–18:00.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily delivery of the 77m underpass, coordinating SCL operations, primary/secondary lining and waterproofing.
• Lead health and safety on site; review RAMS and deliver daily site briefings.
• Direct trade gangs, specialist sub-contractors and site plant to meet 3-week lookahead targets.
• Log daily diaries and track structural tolerances with the engineering team.
