Job summary

Tech Search Solutions seeks a Site Engineer/Surveyor for a major infrastructure project at Devonport Royal Dockyard, Plymouth. The role involves setting out, surveying, and ensuring works meet design specs in a high-security, high-profile environment.

You will work with Total Station, GPS and AutoCAD/Civil 3D, maintaining records and coordinating with management, subcontractors, and the design team. UK driving license and BPSS/SC eligibility are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Proven setting-out/surveying experience on major infrastructure or civils projects.
• Proficiency with Leica/Trimble Total Stations, GPS, and AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
• CSCS card; SSSTS/SMSTS desirable.
• Eligibility to obtain security clearance (BPSS/SC).
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out setting out, levelling, and surveying using Total Station and GPS equipment.
• Ensure works are constructed to design specifications and within tolerance.
• Maintain accurate as-built records and site documentation.
• Liaise with site management, subcontractors, and design team on technical matters.
• Support quality control and compliance with method statements.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and site security requirements.
