Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Proven setting-out/surveying experience on major infrastructure or civils projects.
• Proficiency with Leica/Trimble Total Stations, GPS, and AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
• CSCS card; SSSTS/SMSTS desirable.
• Eligibility to obtain security clearance (BPSS/SC).
• Full UK driving licence.

• Maintain accurate as-built records and site documentation.

A leading civil engineering contractor is seeking a Site Engineer/Surveyor to join a major infrastructure project at Devonport Royal Dockyard, Plymouth. This is an opportunity to work on a nationally significant naval infrastructure programme within a secure, high-profile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out setting out, levelling, and surveying using Total Station and GPS equipment
• Ensure works are constructed to design specification and within tolerance
• Maintain accurate as-built records and site documentation
• Liaise with site management, subcontractors, and the design team on technical matters
• Support quality control and compliance with method statements
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and site security requirements (site access may require security clearance/vetting)

Requirements

• Degree, HNC/HND in Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Proven setting out/surveying experience on major infrastructure or civils projects
• Proficiency with Leica/Trimble Total Stations, GPS, and AutoCAD/Civil 3D
• CSCS card; SSSTS/SMSTS desirable
• Eligibility to obtain security clearance (BPSS/SC), given the nature of the site
• Full UK driving licence
