Job summary

Ballycommon is seeking a Site Engineer / Setting Out Engineer for a groundworks and earthworks scheme in the Devonport/Torpoint area. Immediate start for a 7-month project, requiring CSCS and civil engineering qualifications.

Responsibilities include accurate setting out, surveying, progress monitoring, and collaboration with contractors and engineers to ensure compliance with plans and regulations. Documentation and QA checks are part of the role.

Qualifications

• HND or degree in Civil Engineering is desirable.
• CSCS card is essential.
• Experience in setting out and site engineering.
• Knowledge of groundworks and earthworks.
• Proficiency with setting out equipment and industry software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct accurate setting out and surveying of the project site.
• Ensure works comply with plans, specifications and regulations.
• Monitor and report progress to the project management team.
• Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors and engineers for smooth execution.

• Raise and deal with structural queries.

Are you a skilled and experienced Site Engineer / Setting Out Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity to join a groundworks and earthworks scheme in the Devonport/Torpoint area?

Key Requirements:

• HND or Degree in Civil Engineering is highly desirable.
• Valid CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card is essential.
• Proven experience in setting out and site engineering.
• Strong knowledge of groundworks and earthworks.
• Proficiency in using setting out equipment and industry software.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct accurate setting out and surveying of the project site.
• Ensure that the works are carried out in compliance with project plans, specifications, and relevant regulations.
• Monitor and report on progress, providing regular updates to the project management team.
• Collaborate with other professionals, including contractors, subcontractors, and engineers, to ensure smooth project execution.
• Assist in the preparation and submission of relevant documentation and reports.
• RFI's and QA checks.
• Raising and dealing with structural queries.
