Sphere Solutions is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a growing civil engineering contractor. Based from Avonmouth, the role covers the South West, Devon and Dorset, with travel between project sites to provide engineering support.

You will set out and survey across multiple sites, interpret drawings and specifications, maintain quality records and support ITPs while ensuring works meet project requirements and health and safety standards.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out setting out and surveying duties across multiple civil engineering and infrastructure sites.
• Establish and maintain site control, including levels, coordinates and survey information.
• Interpret construction drawings, specifications and technical information.
• Ensure works are constructed in accordance with approved drawings, design information and project requirements.
• Undertake site measurements, as-built surveys and maintain accurate engineering records.
• Monitor workmanship and quality, ensuring works meet the required standards and specifications.
• Assist with the preparation and maintenance of ITPs and quality documentation.
• Liaise with Site Managers, Project Managers, subcontractors and design teams to resolve technical issues.
• Identify and report any discrepancies or potential design issues before works progress.
• Support the delivery of works across water, wastewater, pipeline, groundworks and wider civil engineering projects.
• Travel between project sites as required, providing engineering support wherever needed across the region.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Engineer to join a growing civil engineering and infrastructure contractor on a permanent basis.
Based from the company's regional office in Avonmouth, the successful candidate will undertake a roaming Site Engineer role, providing engineering support across a variety of projects throughout the South West, Devon and Dorset.
The company delivers a diverse range of civil engineering and infrastructure schemes, particularly within the water and wastewater sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working across different projects, taking responsibility for setting out and ensuring works are delivered in accordance with technical specifications and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of works across water, wastewater, pipeline, groundworks and wider civil engineering projects.
• Ensure all engineering activities are carried out in accordance with health, safety, environmental and quality procedures.
• Travel between project sites as required, providing engineering support wherever needed across the region.

Key Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Site Engineer within civil engineering, groundworks or infrastructure.
• Strong setting out and surveying experience.
• Competent using surveying equipment, including Total Stations and GPS.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Good understanding of construction methods, quality control and site engineering procedures.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to travel and work across multiple sites throughout the South West, Devon and Dorset.

Desirable

• HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience working within the water and wastewater sectors.
• Knowledge of pipelines, drainage, utilities or water treatment projects.
• CSCS card.
• Experience working on water company frameworks or infrastructure projects
