Job summary

Contracts Consultancy Ltd is seeking a Site Engineer (Nuclear) for a 2-year contract in Gwynedd, Wales. This onsite role requires leading construction activities with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance, including CDM-related responsibilities.

The ideal candidate holds SMSTS/NEBOSH Construction and a strong civil engineering background, with experience in heavy lifting, works at height, and demolition. A proactive, detail‑oriented leader will deliver safe, compliant project outcomes.

Qualifications

• CITB SMSTS or NEBOSH Construction Certificate is required.
• Experience managing or supervising construction activities (working at height, temporary works, heavy lifting).
• Thorough understanding of local procedures, rules, and company instructions.

Conditions: Full time onsite, 4 day weeks

You will:

• Take action to champion a strong safety culture, maintain high standards, and drive continuous improvement through best practice and learning.
• Review and accept method statements, safe systems of work, and all relevant documentation with diligence and ownership.
• Demonstrate flexibility and support others while adapting confidently to changing demands, promoting positive safety, environmental values, and strong planning and coordination.

You will bring:

• Essential construction safety qualifications such as CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) or a NEBOSH Construction Certificate, alongside strong Construction Design Management experience.
• Proven essential experience managing or supervising construction activities such as (working at height operations, temporary works, heavy lifting operations etc.) and supported by an HNC/NVQ Level 5 or equivalent technical background.
• A thorough understanding of local procedures, rules, and company instructions, ensuring safe, compliant, and effective project delivery.
