Job summary

SEP Limited is seeking an experienced on-site Senior Site Engineer/Manager to drive remaining groundworks on a data centre refurbishment in Farnborough. You will lead setting out, manage survey control, and coordinate with subcontractors to keep the programme moving.

The role requires an engineering qualification, SMSTS, and Temporary Works Coordinator responsibilities, with hands-on engineering alongside project management to deliver completion, handover, and QA/ITP closure.

Qualifications

• Strong civils/groundworks background.
• Data centre experience preferred.
• Able to manage the job as well as carry out the engineering.
• Engineering qualification.
• SMSTS.
• Temporary Works Coordinator.
• First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all setting out and engineering.
• Manage levels, coordinates and survey control.
• Maintain and close out QA/ITPs.
• Complete as-built surveys and records.
• Manage subcontractors, labour and plant on site.
• Coordinate with the client and other trades.
• Plan and programme remaining works.
• Identify design/information gaps and keep the works moving.
• Manage H&S and site standards.
• Drive the project through to completion and handover.

Job description

Remaining scope includes:

• Completion of ground floor / internal slab works.
• Remaining lift pit works/snags.
• RC retaining walls and wall returns.
• Plant area foundations, slabs and plinths.
• Remaining foul and surface water drainage.
• Remaining ducting and service routes.
• Backfilling, formation and stone works.
• Car parks, kerbs and block paving.
• Final road works, surfacing, gullies, ironwork and white lining.
• Any remaining external works and close-out items.

The person will also need to:
