Job summary

RTL Group Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Engineer for a 12-month contract on a major steel frame and groundworks project. You will lead on-site engineering activities, set out, review drawings, oversee QA procedures, and coordinate subcontractors.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree (or equivalent), CSCS, EUSR or TWC, and has experience with Leica/Trimble surveying and a strong background in groundworks and external works.

Qualifications

• Degree, HNC or HND in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
• Valid CSCS Card.
• EUSR or TWC is essential.
• Proficient with Leica or Trimble surveying equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead all on-site engineering activities, including setting out and technical support.
• Review and coordinate drawings, specifications and design information.
• Oversee quality assurance procedures, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and temporary works.
• Produce and maintain accurate site records, including as-built drawings and technical documentation.
• Ensure works are delivered in accordance with project specifications and programme requirements.
• Monitor quality standards across all engineering activities.
• Support the Site and Project Management team with technical expertise.
• Promote and maintain the highest standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Coordinate subcontractors and resolve technical issues on site.

• Senior Engineer with experience on large industrial, logistics or commercial construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of groundworks, drainage, reinforced concrete, steel frame and external works.
• Experience managing QA procedures and ITPs.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
