Job summary

EKFB is recruiting a Freelance Site Engineer to join our Chipping Warden team for an 80km HS2 section. You will lead on-site activities, supervise junior engineers and assist in setting-out, programmes, and cost forecasting.

You will liaise with the Sub Agent to allocate resources and ensure works meet standards, programme and budget. Essential applicants hold a construction/civil engineering qualification and a valid CSCS card, with highways or structures experience.

Qualifications

• HNC/Degree (Construction/Civil Engineering related) or equivalent and working towards ICE.
• CSCS - White, White-Yellow, Red - Experienced, Black - Manager or Gold - Supervisor
• Experience in highways or structures is essential
• Knowledge of utilities, earthworks, heavy structures or drainage is essential

Responsibilities

• Site Engineer on site for other junior engineers and assist in construction operations.
• Liaise with Sub Agent/Section Foreman to allocate labour, plant and materials.
• Identify and resolve technical problems on site with senior team.
• Monitor subcontractors to ensure works meet contractual requirements.
