Job summary

Balfour Beatty’s Regional Civils team is recruiting a Site Engineer to deliver highways and infrastructure projects across Stockton-on-Tees and the North East. You’ll work with experienced professionals to ensure works are safe, deliverable to high quality standards, and aligned with local community needs.

You’ll engage in setting out, quality control, planning, safety, and problem-solving on complex civil schemes, gaining exposure to major projects with a leading UK contractor.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline; HNC/HND considered.
• Proven ability to apply industry best practices to complex construction projects.
• Professional membership or progress towards ICE desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support Senior Project Team in implementing engineering strategy and delivery framework across highways and infrastructure projects.
• Manage materials, plant and labour resources to deliver works safely, on time and within budgets.
• Undertake setting out for highways, earthworks, drainage and structures to specifications and tolerances.
• Provide technical support to delivery teams, check works, and resolve engineering challenges on site.
• Ensure design information, quality procedures and standards are communicated and implemented across the project.
• Support project assurance activities through site audits, inspections and reviews.
