Job summary

Fawkes & Reece Group on Wirral is seeking a Site Engineer to join a design & build gym project worth £15m. You will be responsible for setting out and overseeing enabling groundworks, ensuring build programmes are met and that HSEQ standards are maintained.

You will work with a team of professionals in a supportive environment that encourages progression and hands-on site problem solving on a busy North West site.

Qualifications

• Experience as Setting out Engineer / Site Engineer or Assistant Engineer.
• BEng Civil Engineering or HND equivalent.
• Tickets and certificates relevant to site work.
• Ability to motivate site teams to meet deadlines.
• Proven track record in HSEQ standards.

Are you a Site Engineer looking to join a leading highly respected principal contractor in the North West?

Due to a brand new contract award of a design & build £15m gym on the Wirral, Cheshire, there is an exciting opportunity for a Site Engineer to be involved with the setting out and overseeing the enabling groundworks stage of the build.

You will be working alongside knowledgeable, professional, and supportive construction professionals who will provide you with the environment in which you can thrive and progress your career.

The company are a multi-disciplinary principal contractor that work across the commercial, industrial, retail, leisure, life sciences & data centre sectors with pipelined projects & a health forward order book with regular repeat client and strong working relationships with their client base.

Experience / Qualifications Required:

• The successful candidate must have a career history as a Setting out Engineer / Assistant Engineer or Site Engineer either working for a groundworks contractor or for a principal contractor.
• BEng Civil Engineering or HND equivalent & relevant industry tickets and certificates.
• Excellent people management skills with the ability to motivate site teams to work to strict build programmes and deadlines & exceed client expectations.
• Track record of the delivery of high standards and behaviours in HSEQ
• Excellent planning & time management skills with the ability to think ahead & manage risk.
